The Australian Institute of Building Surveyors is holding their annual Victorian Conference in Melbourne on Thursday 13 and Friday 14 September 2018 at the Crown Promenade Hotel.
This year, a number of industry bodies – including BDAV – have worked with AIBS to develop the first day of this event as an ‘Industry Day’. This has been designed to address a number of issues across the industry and to come together to achieve greater effectiveness across the industry. Unlike the recent spate of ‘cladding’ or ‘regulatory’ conferences in Melbourne of late, this is an industry conference developed for the industry, and is aimed at working together to achieve a more effective building regulatory system for the benefit of all. The Industry Day will also collectively address a number of issues within the construction industry that has received criticism from both the public and government over recent years.
There is also the opportunity to discuss the recent amendments to the Victorian Building Regulations that will no doubt have an impact on all building practitioners. As participants in the building and construction industry who generally communicate on a daily basis, rarely do we have the opportunity to collectively discuss common issues affecting us all.
Members of BDAV have been offered the same discount rate applicable to AIBS members to attend this day (and conference). To attend, you will need to complete the online registration form (including your member number) and email directly to the AIBS member services team at firstname.lastname@example.org
An ‘early bird’ offer available to BDAV members, but you will need to register prior to Friday, 17 August 2018 to avail yourself of this offer.
