Warragul Residence

Maxa Design

This striking design of this healthy luxury home for a large growing family, on an awkward and exposed site, has combined materials to give a rustic yet classy finish to a fundamentally simple form. Externally, random stone and corrugated iron are the principal wall cladding set above neutral grey concrete block and highlighted by the strong use of timber in geometric forms. Internally, subtle changes of colour in a grey palette and the use of angled walls and soft curves are contrasted by the internal stone features and splashes of oiled timbers. Well detailed throughout and with touches of innovation, this home is well worthy of a special commendation.
