The Australian Building Codes Board is looking for examples of successful Performance Solutions that can be turned into case studies. If you are an architect, or an architectural firm, or a building designer and can help, they want to hear from you.
In early 2017, the ABCB commenced engaging with Australia’s architectural sector, to identify awareness and knowledge gaps in the use of performance-based design solutions. A key issue highlighted was around limited access to information and case studies that detail how to document, measure and verify a Performance Solution that complies with the Performance Requirements of the National Construction Code (NCC).
In response, the ABCB is developing a suite of case studies to support the sector in raising awareness of and using performance-based design.
Architects, architectural or design firms are invited to provide examples of successful Performance Solutions that will be turned into case studies for the sector. The case studies will be made available on the ABCB website.
The ABCB have prepared a short questionnaire to capture information for each case study. Their aim is to have at least one case study example for each Performance Solution discipline area, including:
