CPD is about more than just accruing points to maintain accreditation or membership, rather, it should be an instigator of fostering professional development of self and encourage the seeking out of additional information relevant to your day-to-day practice.
Take the time to consciously anticipate and plan your CPD for the year ahead. A little bit of time initially can save a whole lot of headaches later in scrambling to get into events or achieve points by year end. Attempt to use each year as a different focal point in building up your knowledge and skillset around a particular topic or skill.
As your membership organisation, we are here to help. The BDAV can answer any queries you may have regarding planning your CPD pathway. Additionally, we welcome suggestions for new areas of professional development to ensure we are meeting the needs of our members.
So, how’s your CPD tracking? TPA’s will be emailed a summary of their CPD status by Friday 12th June 2019. Keep an eye out in your inbox.
