The Victorian Government will host a delegation of Victorian design businesses from 4-9 December 2017 to attend Hong Kong Business of Design Week as part of a Victorian Design Trade Mission to be led by Creative Victoria.
Victorian designers and design businesses may apply for financial assistance to join the Hong Kong Design Trade Mission.
BDAV has confirmation from the Government that BDAV Members are eligible to apply for these grants.
Business of Design Week is a showcase of global design talent, brands and innovation, attracting over 120,000 attendees from around the world.
The Victorian Design Trade Mission will give local designers and design-led businesses the opportunity to explore business development opportunities, showcase their products, projects and services to potential buyers, stockists, partners and media representatives from across the globe. Delegates will take part in a program of events, meetings and activities designed to strengthen business connections and create new export opportunities.
Support of $2,000 is available for up to 25 Victorian businesses to be part of the Trade Mission. This is aimed to assist with the cost of airfares, ground transport and accommodation. The selected companies will also receive specialist market entry training and advice from Asialink Business prior to departure.
Please note that companies not eligible or not successful in securing assistance through the program are still welcome to join the delegation, and participate in official events as part of Business of Design Week at their own cost.
